U.S. Shipping Timelines
Most packages are
shipped within 24-48 hours of your order.
Some delays may occur if the order is placed on a weekend or holiday, or anytime after 12:00PM NOON (Eastern Standard Time).
FOR STANDARD DELIVERY Delivery time is 4-8 business days. For Alaska and Hawaii, please allow up to 20 days.
FOR TWO DAY EXPRESS Delivery time is 3-4 business days.
FOR ONE DAY EXPRESS Delivery time is 2-3 business days.
Please note: You must place your order by 12:00PM NOON EST (EASTERN STANDARD TIME) in order for it to be processed in that days' express delivery service. If your order is placed after NOON EST, it will be processed with the following day's orders. If your order is placed after NOON EST on FRIDAY, it will be processed with the following MONDAY's orders.
You will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail with the date your order was shipped and further details. If you are a Dots 'n Details member, you may also check the status of your order by visiting your My Account page. Please note, we will only track shipping information within My Account for registered members.
Orders are not shipped until billing and credit card information is verified and the bank provides an authorization. If there is a problem with your order due to payment information you entered, we will contact you via e-mail or phone.
Dots 'n Details reserves the right to cancel an order if fraud is suspected.

Q: What types of shipping class services do you offer?
A: We offer three delivery methods: standard 4-8 business day via UPS or USPS for PO box addresses, 2 Day express and 1 Day express services.
Please note: The easiest way to know your order's estimated shipping costs and delivery date is to let us calculate those for you. Add items to your cart. Then click the "Modify Shipping Options" button to select a shipping option. You will see your order's shipping charges and delivery time for each shipping option in order to help you determine your best delivery method.
Q: When do I have to place my order to qualify for 1 or 2 business day delivery?
A: You must place your order by 12:00PM NOON EST (EASTERN STANDARD TIME) in order for it to be processed in that day's 1 or 2 business day service. If your order is placed after NOON EST, it will be processed with the following day's orders. If your order is placed after NOON EST on FRIDAY, it will be processed with the following MONDAY's orders.

Q: Do any location restrictions apply to express class delivery options?
A: Yes. Unfortunately, we currently cannot provide 1 Day or 2 Day express delivery service to the following locations:

Q: What does "business day" refer to for shipping delivery time estimates?
A: We do not ship on weekends or holidays. So, when estimating your order's arrival date, please do not include weekends and holidays in the number of delivery days.
Q: How does "order processing" factor into my order's arrival date?
A: To estimate your order's delivery time, we include both the shipping time and the order processing time. We typically process orders within 1-2 business days. However, if an item becomes out of stock after you've placed your order, order processing may take longer and delay your shipment.
Q: Can all items be express shipped?
A: No. Some bulky or oversized items or hazardous materials cannot be shipped via express service. We will be happy to ship these items standard delivery. If you already have other items in your basket that you'd like to ship via an express service, please place a separate order for these items.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: No, at this time Dots 'n Details only ships within the United States, its territories and possessions.
Q: Do you ship to military bases?
A: Yes. Please keep in mind that delivery to military addresses may take longer than the stated times.
Q: Do you ship to post office boxes?
A: Yes. All P.O. box orders will be delivered by The United States Postal Service (USPS).
Q: Do you ship to rural route numbers?
A: Yes.
Q: Can I send items to multiple addresses with the same order?
A: Not at this time. To ship items to different addresses, you need to submit separate orders for each address.
Q: What ship methods do you use?
A: We primarily deliver standard service via UPS or USPS for PO Boxes. For express class services (1 and 2 business day services), we primarily deliver via UPS.
Q: What about backorders?
A: At this time Dots 'n Details does not process backorders. If your item is out of stock at the time of fulfillment we will cancel the out of stock product, ship the balance of your order, adjust your order total including shipping, and send you an email notifying you of the change.
Q: Why did my order come in multiple boxes or from multiple carriers?
A: We may ship your order to you in multiple boxes or via multiple carriers due to:
The order size - large orders often are split into multiple boxes for more efficient delivery.
- The item size - some items required special handling and packaging and thus a separate box.
- The item type - if an item is considered "Hazardous Material" by the USPS (such as aerosol paint cans), it may be shipped via UPS.
- The inventory status - if an items is on back order, it may be shipped later than other items in you order that are in stock.
- The item's source - some items will come to you directly from the manufacturer and may be in a different box and/or via a different carrier than the remaining items in your order.
